One of my most beloved friends, my cousin Liz, is on her way to Colorado. We visited for awhile this afternoon; the sight of her nearly empty house, even with the adorableness of my two-year-old, my cousin’s two-year-old & sweet doggy, made me want to cry even as I snapped the photo.

To spy emptiness…

Day 24/365 photos

Not a great photo.  This is me, literally driving on empty.  I didn’t take many photos today.  The weather was gloomy.  I fell and am a bit sore… I just didn’t have it in me to go out and get a good shot.

24/365+ proof of God’s love

Tired, feeling stressed and hurting from a slip on ice that left me flat on my back, I’ll admit it’s not been an easy day and I had some difficulty finding God’s love.  I found it, though.  On a gas tank that registered empty about halfway to the sitter’s (I was still 20 miles away, at least), I made it all the way there, then all the way to the other side of town to collect my older daughter from the boys and girls club *and* then to the house of one of her friends who needed a ride home before I put a little gas in the tank.  God loves us enough that He got us home safely, even though I’m feeling not-so-thankful today.
